Rooms that finally work the way you live

Sometimes the house is right but the rooms are not. Coastal Stone renovates living areas, closets and interiors so the home works better day to day.

Projects range from a custom walk-in closet with built-in shelving and lighting to opening up a living area, new flooring or a feature wall.

We scope the work with you, help you choose materials and keep the job tidy while you live around it.

What's included

The scope of a home renovation

Every home renovation is scoped to your home. This is the work it can cover.

  • Living areas and open plans

Updating or opening up living spaces so the kitchen, dining and living areas work together.

  • Flooring

Tile and other flooring laid flat and continuous between rooms, with clean transitions at doorways.

Tiled fireplace surrounds and feature walls, like the linear fireplace wall in our project photos.

  • Trim, doors and interior finishes

Baseboards, casings, interior doors and the finish carpentry that ties a renovated room together.

Choices worth thinking through

Renovations are about how a home feels day to day. A few choices make the biggest difference.

  • Flooring that suits the room

Wood-look porcelain tile handles water, sand and pets and works throughout a coastal home. Hardwood feels warmer underfoot but needs more care around water. Running one floor through connected rooms makes a space feel larger.

  • Closet layout

A good closet starts with an inventory: how much hangs long, how much hangs short, how many drawers and how many shoes. Built-in lighting makes a bigger difference in a closet than people expect.

  • Feature walls and fireplaces

Large-format tile on a fireplace wall gives a clean, modern look with few grout lines. It is a focal point, so the layout and cuts are planned before the first tile goes up.

  • One room or several

Doing connected rooms together can keep finishes consistent and avoid redoing transitions later. Doing one room at a time spreads out the cost. Both work; we help you decide.
