A bathroom that looks good and stays dry

Bathrooms are small rooms with very little room for error. Tile has to be set flat and straight, water has to go where it should, and every fixture has to line up. That is the kind of work Coastal Stone takes pride in.

From a primary bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower to a guest bath refresh, we plan the layout and materials with you, then build it cleanly and on schedule.

Clients have written on Google and Yelp about the price, the communication and the finish quality, and about a job site left clean every day. Read their reviews below.

What's included

The scope of a bathroom remodel

Every bathroom remodel is scoped to your home. This is the work it can cover.

  • Showers and tub surrounds

Walk-in showers and tub-shower combinations, waterproofed behind the tile and finished with niches, benches or glass where you want them.

  • Wall and floor tile

Subway, large-format, hexagon and mosaic tile, laid flat with consistent grout lines and floors sloped so water runs to the drain.

  • Vanities, tops and mirrors

Single and double vanities with stone or quartz tops, mirrors and medicine cabinets, including backlit LED mirrors.

  • Tubs

Freestanding soaking tubs and built-in tubs, or a tub removed to make room for a larger walk-in shower.

  • Fixtures

Faucets, rain heads, handheld sprayers and valves, with finishes matched across the room.

  • Lighting and finishing

Vanity and under-cabinet lighting, accessories, trim and the caulk lines and details that make the room feel finished.

How it works

How a bathroom remodel runs

A predictable process, so you always know what happens next.

  1. Look at the space

Alex checks the room, the plumbing and what is behind the old tile where possible, and hears what you want to change.

  2. Plan the layout and finishes

Shower size, vanity, tile and fixtures are chosen together, then you get a written scope and quote.

  3. Demo, rough-in, waterproof

The old finishes come out, plumbing is adjusted where needed and the wet areas are waterproofed before any tile goes up.

  4. Tile, fixtures, walkthrough

Tile, vanity, glass and fixtures go in, then we test everything with you and take care of the last details.

Materials & options

Choices worth thinking through

A bathroom has to look good and stay dry for years. These are the choices that matter most.

  • Porcelain, ceramic or stone tile

Porcelain is dense and absorbs very little water, which makes it a strong choice for shower walls and floors. Ceramic works well on walls. Natural stone is beautiful but needs sealing and gentler cleaners.

  • Tile size and grout

Large-format tile means fewer grout lines and less to clean on walls. Small tiles like hexagon or mosaic give more grip underfoot on shower floors because of the extra grout joints.

  • Walk-in shower or tub

Swapping a little-used tub for a walk-in shower is one of the most requested changes. If it is the only tub in the house, some families prefer to keep one, so we talk it through.

  • Ventilation

A properly sized exhaust fan, vented outside, is what keeps a new bathroom free of mildew and peeling paint. It is easy to upgrade while the ceiling is open.

Reviews

In our clients’ words

What clients wrote on Google and Yelp about their bathroom remodeling work, word for word.

“Alex remodeled my guest bathroom, replacing a tub with a walk in shower, and retiled a second bathroom. He is a meticulous and conscientious worker who uses good judgement in constructions decisions. Each day the job site is left spotless, and he protects the house from dust when working. His pricing is very reasonable, and all jobs were completed on time and within budget. Coastal Stone Construction has my highest recommendation, and I look forward to using them on future projects.”

FAQ

Bathroom remodeling questions

Straight answers about bathroom remodeling with Coastal Stone.

Can you turn a tub into a walk-in shower?

That is a common request. Alex will look at the space and plumbing during the free estimate and tell you what it takes.

Do you remodel guest and secondary bathrooms?

Yes. Primary suites, hall baths and powder rooms all get the same care.

What tile is best for a shower?

Porcelain is a reliable choice for shower walls and floors because it absorbs very little water. On the floor, smaller tiles give better grip. Alex will show you options that suit your style and budget.

Can you just replace the vanity or fixtures?

Yes. A new vanity, faucet or shower head does not have to be part of a full remodel. See our handyman services for smaller jobs like these.

How do I get a quote for my bathroom?

Call or send the quote form. Alex comes out to see the bathroom, then you get a written quote for the scope you choose. The estimate is free.
